It is a Hangover? Nope, it the After Holiday Fog!

Congratulations, you made it.  Another holiday season under your belt, you wonderous super hero you!

I barely made it out alive.  Not so much the overeating at Thanksgiving during which I stayed out of the yearly "should we serve unsweet tea for the Yankees" debate and I was smart enought not to go out on Black Friday. Silly ritual of people who don't understand the art of being shopaholics during the other 11 months of the year.

I always manage to avoid cooking, mainly because my husband is a great cook and also becuase everyone is scared of what I would serve.

What the hell is wrong with rotisserie chicken, canned green beans and cranberry jelly goop?  Perfect meal if you ask me and easy too.  Mashed potatoes and gravy are easy, unless you live at my house.  Thankfully the neighbors knew us well enough not to call the Po-Po at the controversy over skins off or on between the cooks. (My husband and daughter Karin)

Christmas wasn't bad except for the one kid who I always forget.  My sisters have too many children, it makes it hard for me to figure out who has how many and even worse, which kid belongs to whom.
There's this one kid that is either ten or twenty, he seems to morph from a boy to a man with a mustache.  Whoever this nephew is always gets a McDonald's gift card.  I don't remember him being born, but seems like a friendly sort.  A bit chubby.

New Years brought with it the dreaded croop.  The flu hit my house like a tornado leaving only the two little dogs unscathed.  Well except for the fact neither the hubster nor I had enough energy to take them for walks.  I tell you.  Sometimes, being a human sucks. The only good thing about being sick is that I appreciate feeling well so much more!

Wish you a wonderful 2016.  I have a bunch of great things planned, which I will share with you once I get it written down.

For now I thank you dear reader and ask that you please join my newsletter so that you can be part of my super secret "inner circle" of trust.  (SSIC) It's one of those super secret organizations, except without any badges or guns.

Click here to join and this month you will get a free short story.  It's a Christmas Historical Western.  Yee Haw...Ho Ho Ho.
