Happy Thanksgiving my USA lovelies!
Today I'm going to list the top five things I am most thankful for and then I'm going to do a fun giveaway!
1. God in my life. Until I found a small church, Vineyard Church of Augusta, I felt adrift. I hope you find your truth, whether it be a a religion or a spiritual guide seek what it takes to settle your soul.
2. My husband. Let me tell you something many don't believe is true. (I promise it's true) This year will be our fifteenth anniversary and the Mr. and I have never had an argument. Not one fight. We're both too easy going to sweat the small stuff. Usually we either laugh annoyances off or roll our eyes and let it go. He is an amazing man, who was willing to take on a crazy single mom and her two teenage daughters without blinking an eye. He not only accepted my girls, but boy did he love them. That he loves us so much it makes me get teary just thinking about it.
3. Circle of friends. I love people and enjoy making new friends. However I have a core circle of friends I know will not only support me through the rough parts, but will walk through the "valley of death" beside me.
4. Dogs. Everyone should have a dog at least once in their life. The unwavering love from a creature that loves you no matter what is one of those things that makes life so much better. Its always a party when you get home and if you need someone to listen without judgement, no one is better than a dog. I like cats too, but my cats would walk off when I started talking.
5. Last but not least, I am thankful for new opportunities and fresh starts. Take a few moments today and consider the one are you'd like a start fresh start. Whether a new career, a relationship or the dreary wall color. Don't put it off, go forth and conquer!

Yes sometimes we need to refresh and get acquainted again with our spouses. Hugs
DeleteThere are two areas - one is my spouse. This is a public blog so I'll just say I need to work on that area of my life.
ReplyDeleteSecond is my friendship with a good friend of mine. We're the best of friends, but like so many others, we can't live together or work together. I love her anyway but there are parts of our past we need to work together on repairing.
I pray for your marriage and for healing to be done. I love several friends I could never live with! Hugs my dear.
DeleteI AM GRATEFUL AND THANKFUL MY DAD AND MY BROTHER ARE STILL WITH US DURING THIS SEASON. MY THE LORD FOR ALLOWING THEM CONTINUE WITH US FOR A WHILE. I AM ALSO THANKFUL FOR A PLACE TO WORSHIP RIGHT DOWN THE ROAD. THE LORD HAS BEEN GOOD TO ME THIS YEAR.
ReplyDeleteHildie,

ReplyDeletei would love to refresh the past six years since my mom died so i could have a little more time with her
ReplyDeleteA refresh on my teenage years. Most of it was spent not being a kid. kellysnyder588@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI would love to refresh my relationship with my husband. We love each other very much but we are both stubborn and controlling. We no longer have our children at home and I need to stop transferring my feelings about that onto him. God give me strength. But in all respects I am extremely lucky and thankful for all that we have including each other.
ReplyDeleteMy high school years. They really are some of the best of your life. rc12d@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteHi Hildie! Just popping by to see everyone's blog posts on thankfulness. I so enjoyed yours! I recently found a church that has made a big difference in my faith walk. Still learning! To answer your question--I'd like to refresh my bathroom! If nothing else it needs a paint job! I still have wallpaper in there I am so very tired of. Happy Thanksgiving--and do not enter me in the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteGreat list! You sound like you're the type who really enjoys life. :)
ReplyDeleteHmm... What would I refresh? I agree with the commenter above who wanted more time with her mom. My mom died early, and I was too selfish (as a teen) to do more with her.
No need to enter me in the giveaway. I'm just stopping by to say hi. :)
I would like for my relationship with my daughter to improve! Time just keeps ticking.........
ReplyDeleteI wish you a Happy Thanksgiving! Thanks for letting us "hop" around!

My stress level. I need to just breath, count to ten. It is harder than it looks for me because I am a perfectionist.
ReplyDeleteThank you for being part of the hop and I hope you have a great holiday.
